KWEG 2015 Asian Street Skateboarding Invitational Finals
We thought the qualifier was heated! The top ten skaters battled it out to get on the podium. So much heart and hustle, and TALENT came out of this group, the judges sure had their work cut out for them. The tiny yet smooth beyond his years Sanggoe Dharma from Indonesia coasted through the course with ease and grace. He made getting onto the obstacles look easy, even though they are much bigger to him proportionately. He was a crowd favorite for sure. Then came Japans Ryo Sejiri, with a STYLE that demanded attention, his mellow but swift attack of each obstacle was a joy to watch. Throw in a switch front 50 on a round rail?!? Easily lands him in second place in front of a tough field. The top of the podium was earned by Singapore’s Firdaus Rahman. His aggressive approach brought him speeding from the outside of the skating area, over a fence into the course, just to start his run. Then hitting every obstacle he could without slowing down, this dude cooked the course with a smile on his face. Check the video to watch all three skater’s best runs.
